Daily inconveniences such as lens fogging while wearing spectacles and ongoing discomfort from contact lens wear are frequent concerns prompting ophthalmic visits. In this clinical case, the individual presented to the eye clinic for alternative vision correction options due to these ongoing difficulties, and SMILE surgery was selected.
Appropriate candidate selection for SMILE requires careful baseline measurement of the eye's anatomy. Prior to moving forward with the procedure, essential preliminary evaluations were completed to assess visual acuity, corneal thickness, and dry eye parameters.
